Wall-to-Wall Carpet (Broadloom Carpet)

Wall-to-wall carpet is a carpet that is permanently installed to cover the entire floor area of a room from wall to wall without interruption. Unlike a rug, which covers only a portion of the floor, wall-to-wall carpet is designed to provide complete floor coverage. It is typically manufactured in wide rolls, commonly 3.66 m (12 ft) or 4 m in width, and is cut, seamed, and installed on site. It is often referred to as roll carpet. A wall-to-wall carpet generally consists of a pile surface layer, a primary backing that secures the pile fibers, and a secondary backing that provides additional structural stability. It offers excellent thermal insulation and comfort underfoot, while also providing sound absorption by reducing footfall and impact noise. Additional benefits include slip resistance and enhanced interior aesthetics. Wall-to-wall carpet is widely used in hotel guest rooms and corridors, offices, banquet halls, and residential interiors.
